Justin Jay is the very rare 18 year old that has already experienced success and failure in the music business. In 2010 he won a DJ Mag competition and an opening slot for some massive headline artists but when he got to the club and they checked his ID he was turned away from his own debut performance! Off the momentum from the contest, Justin landed himself an apprenticeship at Atlantic Records working on house infused pop and hip-hop. But the music was all cheesy and he quickly realized his true calling was in the underground. Hence we welcome him here now at dirtybird! This record started as a demo and i began playing it a lot, highlighted at Bestival and Space this summer. I really love the way the bass rides. There is something very California about it.
