Balloon Ride Fantasy is an indie-pop duo from Pittsburgh who released their debut album Monocle City in Spring 2011. Guitarist Phil Conley and vocalist Chris Olszewski have been playing together for years, but Monocle City marks their first project as a duo. A strong writing dynamic and sense of humor are evident between the bandmates whose lyrics indulge a ravenous pack of zombies, a fantastical Japanese dreamland and other outlandish lyrical themes, all sung over catchy melodic hooks. Since their debut, they have won an "overall" contest on Jelliradio.com to be spotlighted and played, and also a "judges pick" on Indabamusic.com's Jango Airplay.
