Vickyvette is an indierock or experimental band, formed in 2006 by four former school friends under the influence which is so-called an indie or wave era. Indonesia is the incarnation of the indierock-experimental generation. It’s free for people to call whatever our music is since our music is what people hear. We don’t try to say that our music genre is like shoegaze, indierock, experimental, etc. The song, the instruments, the harmonies, the feelings that we make are directly connected to that particular genre. It reflects who we are. That’s Vickyvette.
 
We’re interested in that kind of music which is apparent in our list of musical inspirations, including God is an Astronaut, Sebadoh, Bloc Party, Dillinger Escape Plan, Hella, and Explosions in the Sky. Meanwhile in the tracks that use vocals, we try to make the main use of the human voice, which is not to be clear to be enunciated as lyrical poetry, and it’s also used as an additional instrument.
 
The slowness of the moment becomes a journey through the time, a long way through the orbit. It’s a soundtrack for your dreamscapes. It floats tropospherically around you with grunting-indistinct vocals and experimental sounds capes using guitars as sound tools. Pentatonic bass brick-thick of layering sounds as a bomb crushing your brain, and sounds of the drums break your heartbeat simultaneously for fluxing tempo of era.
