Alanna-Marie Boudreau is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from upstate NY. Having come from a musical background, she fondly remembers a childhood filled with classical piano lessons, late-night soirees centered around guitar-playing uncles and long-haired travelers, Simon and Garfunkel playing in the background during dinner-time, outings to the symphony, being moved to tears by John Denver’s vulnerability, and plenty of time for reflection. By the time she was fifteen, she had taught herself how to play the guitar, and soon after discovered a knack for writing songs.
 
Just before her Senior year of university (where she studied philosophy, among many other interesting, reverberating things), she recorded a 7 track EP entitled Hands in the Land, largely at the request of friends and family who had fallen in love with her music. The EP was a great success, and ended up reaching people on a global scale.
 
The EP also caught the attention of the company LoveGoodMusic, which is based in Nashville, TN, and this connection led to Alanna-Marie joining in with several other musicians on three separate tours of the US, spanning from Summer 2013 – Summer 2014. These tours expanded Alanna-Marie’s fanbase and overall network exponentially. These touring experiences (and subsequent broadening of her fanbase and vision) contributed partially to her decision to launch a Kickstarter campaign in March 2014 in the hopes of creating a full-length album for her family, friends, and fans. The campaign was impressively successful. Buoyed by the power of gratitude and funds, Alanna stepped back into the studio in May 2014 and recorded Hints & Guesses, her first full-length album.
 
Alanna-Marie looks forward to releasing Hints & Guesses in September 2014. She hopes to pursue music with moxie and poise (and a sense of humor – one mustn’t get too serious or too big for one’s breeches) and is currently seeking out opportunities as they come.
