A big counterproposal to fulfillment and completion is what this piece of music has turned out to be. On “Chimera” Munich musician Martin Brugger alias Occupanther presents hymns for a new generation of slackers who no longer seek to justify their lethargy with the fine irony of a Beck Hansen. Tensions, bottled up over swirling soundscapes dissolve in rattling and rumbling irruptive beats. The studied Jazz-Bassist lets the two main concepts of musical composition collide: breathing vs. Heartbeat. On his first EP he created a beautiful intermediate world without leaning too much in one direction. In 2014 the masterful elaboraton of the unfinished is elevated to a new, earnest art form.
