As principal keyboard continuo and assistant conductor to Sir John Eliot Gardiner for more than 10 years, I have become closely associated with the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists.

Between 2011 and 2015, choral conducting became my focus when, as Director of Music at Queens’ College, Cambridge, I greatly enhanced the national profile of the college choir.

In 2016 I acted as assistant conductor and continuo player in performances of Bach’s St Matthew Passion across Europe with Sir John Eliot Gardiner. 2017 has been dominated by chamber music projects, including the release of a recording of Bach’s Musical Offering  with The Bach Players, duo performances with Gawain Glenton (cornetto) and Richard Boothby (viola da gamba), and the recording of solo harpsichord music by Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre. (For concert dates, see my Diary.)
