Kenneth Barber, a native of New Haven, CT, the Elm City, His musical roots are gospel and he credits God for his gifts and talents. 
 
Music is in his genes, with an ear for music, he is largely self-taught with support from his aunt, Missionary Lena Shields, his father, Bishop Matthew Barber, his cousin, Pastor John Cotten, Jr., and numerous musical colleagues across the state. 
 
His musical journey has given Kenneth the opportunity to play many genres, in many venues. He is a talented composer, organist and vocalist. 
 
Kenneth has been a part of three recording projects with One Love Music Group for which he wrote the majority of the music. He recently released his first independent project, Life's Journey, which Barber identifies as Urban Meditation music, music that heals and soothes the soul. This collection of instrumental tracks has something for everyone and for every occasion. 
 
Kenny, as he is known by family and friends, enjoys making music but mostly enjoys seeing people's reactions and responses to the music as well as the impact that music has on people. His desire is to use his success to inspire someone else to believe in themselves and to pursue their dream - "despite what those around you say".
