If you like British rock band Arctic Monkeys — or, for that matter, American stars The Black Keys — then there’s a good chance you’ll dig these guys, an unknown group of indie rockers from Bath, England. Their single, the wittily-titled “Trust Me… I’m a Genius,” is short and sweet at a mere 2:20, but shows that The Family Rain are both talented and fun, featuring a highly enjoyable guitar solo as well as a chorus that is raw without sacrificing its pop appeal. 
 
And guess what? It’s the only song the band have floating around so far, and you won’t be able to find it many other places. If The Family Rain are this good with only one tune under their belts, imagine where they could go from here. Judging by the band’s Facebook page, they’re avid fans of great music in general, so they must know that guitar-led rock music is on its way back in. It might take a few more years, but perhaps The Family Rain will be in the wave of new, talented rock bands we see making their way back into public consciousness. In any case, I love “Trust Me… I’m a Genius.” Watch the video below!
